About Me

My family and I migrated from South Sudan to the United States when I was 11 years old. As a student who speaks English as a second language, I understand the frustrations of learning. I began to build more interests in teaching because I experienced the positive impact good teaching is. I began to build more interest in teaching because it gives me a chance to make a difference in kids lives. Education exists for us to build our knowledge and it increases our chances of success in life. I want to be able to motivate kids to learn subjects in various contexts and accept other cultures around them while stressing the importance of team work. My goal as a future teacher is to work hard towards providing an equal education for all students.

After many years of  public education, I have learned that teachers are a fundamental part of students success.  The most important thing to have is the passion to learn and the patience to go through the process of learning. It’s impossible to learn without a good teacher because they serve as tools and guide to strengthen our learning experience.
